Authentic Kapow Neau Sub /Spicy Basil Leaves Stir Fried With Ground Beef

Love this dish. I often cook it. I have to confess. It's very easy to cook it. Taste delicious. It's hard to find in Thai restaurant here cooking the taste that I am crazy about. This dish should be very hot spicy not mild spicy with  flavoring aromatic of fresh Herbs such as Holy Basil leaves, fresh chilies and fresh garlic. While eating may use a fan to cool the burning mouth and the tongue down (just kidding).

Benji's notes:

For my own kitchen

  • I use a pinch of granulated sugar instead of MSG for cooking. I am allergic to it.

For home cook
  • Spiciness can be adjusted for flavor.
  • Sauce can be less or a little bit more. Testes it first, then adding a little bit more later.

For Thai restaurant around the world
  • Please, this dish is very simple to cook. Do not make it too complicated. Make it as authentic Thai food. Don't be shy to use a lot of fresh garlic and fresh chili. Don't use dried chili or dried crunched pepper if you can find the fresh one. Make it fresh for daily use. This can be one of the best seller dish for your restaurant.  Believe me.

  1. the olive oil makes it not authentic, that's like using broccoli (unless it's real Chinese broccoli) in Chinese food -still thanks.
